I have two nightmare appointments tomorrow. CT scan and Respiratory clinic then breast clinic biopsy results. The worst case scenario is something found in the breast and lung. I'm obviously nervous, any advice? I'll be by myself with several hours between both appointments.
Hi, if you are able to have someone go with you, that would be my main advice. I went on my own and regretted it (and have no clue how I actually managed to drive home after). Take a notebook and write everything down and don't be afraid to ask them to repeat things or ask for more clarity about what they mean. Take as long as you need, don't be rushed. As for the time between appointments, something to keep busy, a book or puzzles? Distraction will be key, but difficult. Wishing you all the best
Thanks for your response. I received the news that I have breast cancer and it's probably in my lungs. They want to do a lung biopsy and further tests such as an MRI.
Sorry to hear this, clearly not the news you want. If you need a listening ear, the lovely folks here at the Macmillan helpline are around each day on 0800 808 0000. Best wishes
Sorry it wasnt better news for you. I am dreading an appointment on Wednesday with respiratory specialist following my chest ct and also awaiting breast biopsy results from 2 weeks ago so worried I may be in the same boat. Hopefully you get more answers soon x
