It's Saturday so don't know who to ask for advice.

I simply have no idea if I have taken my Letrozole tablet today or not.
I have tried counting back to when I started them in December but I'm still not certain.

I guess that I have to let things stay as they are for today and find a system that will make it easier for me to be certain.

I'm in a bit of a flap xx

  • Not an expert but I wouldn't worry, missing one dose shouldn't make a great deal of difference. They stay in your system and I think there was at one time debate about taking aromatase inhibitors every 2nd day! Xxx

  • Each time I start a new blister pack of medication I write M-Su on the foil behind each tablet so I can check. x

  • I forgot mine the other day and only knew because it was still in the pill box!

Don't think forgetting one dose should make much difference hugs

  • Thank you all for your replies.
I have gone out and bought a pill box from Boots.

I spoke with a pharmacist while I was there and it seems that there could be more of an issue when taking too much rather than missing a dose. As I can't remember if I've taken the Letrozole today , we decided that the safest thing was for me to start again tomorrow.

The funny thing is, I have been selected to take part in the SWEET research study - supporting women taking hormone therapy - that's offering online information, support  and strategies on how to remember to take the aromatase inhibitors Laughing seems I need the reminders !

    xx

  • Don't know how far down the line you are from diagnosis but the shock and fear that come from realising you have cancer can throw you. Be kind to yourself do something nice this evening even if it is just curling up with a film. Heartpulse

  • I write the initials of days of week on the blister park in sharpie. It stays in your system for a few days anyway
