Hi everyone,
I had a wide incision surgery at the back of my ankle, e weeks ago. I also had 2 sentinel nodes removed from my groin.
After 8-9 days I noticed a bulge under the nodes area removed.
I contacted the nurse and I was told to monitor the size, infection etc
It is just sligly bigger than it was.I have emailed her again today and I am waiting for a reply.
In the meantime I wonder if any of you have had this experience and what was the outcome.
I am starting radiotherapy next week for my removed and taken out axillary lymph nodes beast cancer. But I also have skin cancer. Hopefully the new biopsy and results from the sentinel nodes will be negative.
So you see I am a bit concerned and need to feel in control....as if....
Take care
Hi Greenwater
You sound like you're having a tough time. Just to say I did have a seroma after lymph node removal. By about day 8 they asked me to send a photo of it and then I went in next day and had it very painlessly drained by the nurse in clinic. Oh the relief! It filled slightly again after that, but nowhere near how big it was originally and gradually dispersed on its own, so no need for a second draining.
Hope you get it sorted and good luck with your results x
