After the injection before the op, my left arm above the elbow went very red. 12 hours later it is still the same. It's not sore or itchy. Another patient told me it was a reaction to the injection. I think they are probably right, but when can I expect it to go? Has anyone else had this?
Hi SusieQ welcome to the forum. I would be tempted to give the breast nurse a call re this and ask them if this is to be expected or if you have had a local allergic reaction to the injection just to be sure. Please let us know how you get on and please do give them a call?
Ooops! I have discovered I do not have a red arm, but an over excited surgeon who managed to pour a lot of dye on me. I stained the sheets when I got back to the ward, and the gown I was wearing. Basically, I have patches of red skin wherever the dye hit. I've got to laugh I suppose hehehe.
