Hi,

in short my journey so far

2022 - diagnosed with breast cancer

HER2 positive, ER and PR positive

x3 ec and x3 doxcetaxel

right mastectomy and reconstruction

x15 radiotherapy sessions

12 months of Phesgo®

2024 had a mole removed - melanoma stage 3

full body scans found spread to lung, chest lymph nodes and brain.

VATs surgery on lung confirmed spread of breast cancer.
9 brain tumors treated with gamma knife

x6 Paclitaxel completed

latest PET scan shows spread to bones

paclitaxel stopped and started Enhertu®

my question is - has anyone else had Enhertu® and did you lose your hair? What other side effects - so far I’ve felt sick, hot and dizzy

  • Hiya

I had to reply because my journey is so similar - diagnosed nov 2021, 4 x Docetaxel beginning 2022, bilateral mastectomy, no reconstruction,

    15 x radiotherapy,

12 months of Phesgo (targeted therapy),

    immunotherapy,

was due to begin 3 years of Zoledronic Acid however only 2 days after all of my other treatments finished April 2023) I was diagnosed with bilateral lung mets and brain lining mets (Ive not been offered VAT of gamma knife)

so Zoledronic never started but was put onto Enhertu, I’ve been on it ever since (2 years and 4 months) I feel incredibly fortunate that I do not have any adverse side effects and its keeping everything under control,

however I am going through a scare at the moment, recent MRI showed pancreatic IPMN and my oncologist is on AL until 11th August so I cant discuss result with her until after that date

Enhertu thins the hair but it doesn’t completely go although I had chosen to keep my hair short following the complete loss from the Docetaxel.

I’m so sorry that you are having these side effects

Hopefully you haven’t been on it too long and the side effects with pass as your body adjusts.

Sending positive vibes to you. X

  • Hi Blingbabe I am so sorry to hear about your diagnosis.  I am not on Enhertu but I am on another forum called - Living with incurable cancer - patients only.   It is on this Macmillan page and someone on there is on this drug.  Good luck.
