Hi,
It feels a bit surreal to even be writing this but I’m waiting for the biopsy results after receiving an M5/U5 mammogram and ultrasound result, which I believe is most likely to be breast cancer although no-one has said the word to me yet! I have 2 lesions on my right breast and 1 is 15x15mm.
I guess everyone here has gone through the 2 week biopsy wait which is excruciating as it feels like life is suddenly in limbo. So hearing how other people coped would be great as I haven’t been given my biopsy results app yet!
However my biggest worry is how I tell my kids? It would so good to hear how from any mums on how they explained it all to their kids. I have 3 daughters - 6, 12 & 14 and all I can think about is doing right by them!
It has been such a comfort reading everyone’s stories on here and I’m so sorry you are all having to go through this too! X
Hi, my daughter is older so it was different for me but I thought you might find this information booklet useful. And I agree, the uncertainty and waiting is the worst, hope you get your results and some clarity soon. Best wishes
MacMillan have a great book called Mummy's Lump my BC nurse printed me a copy I used this when telling my kids 10 & 8.
