I have my first of 6 EC Chemo sessions tomorrow. I was just re reading the information booklets and it said to have a light meal "a few hours" before treatment. My session is 9.30 a.m which would mean having a light breakfast at 7.00 a.m. Am I best to skip breakfast as I don't want it to revisit me, I'd rather be hungry! Thanks.
I’m so pleased it went well. Keep drinking and eat what you feel like. If you rest & exercise too you’re giving your body the best chance to cope.
I always eat before going to my chemo session, they will give you oral meds or iv drugs to make you feel less nauseous. And always bring a snack with you, cause the session will take time. Don't forget to add more fibre on your meals because constipation is also one of the side effects I experienced when I had my chemo before. Cheering for you, stay strong! :)
Thanks so much. It went much better than expected and day 2 is ok too. I know there will be some difficult days but so far so much better than I imagined. Thanks for your lovely message x
Thanks so much, I really appreciate your advice x
When I had an early treatment, a tiny breakfast made a big difference—just some toast and a banana, easy on the stomach. Ate it a couple of hours before, and it helped me feel steadier during the session. Once, I treated myself after with a small brunch that felt almost like sitting at https://www.skai.sg, nice view and all, just way simpler.
