Hello, I am due to have a lumpectomy and SLNB in a few weeks' time. I used Arnica tablets after my hip replacement to good effect. Has anyone used the tablets and/or gel pre and/or post surgery please ?
God luck on upcoming surgery. I would not use anything on the scars until totally healed. I used a scar gel once done with surgery and radiation. Had to wait until I got ok from radiation oncologist to use scar gel . Have to be careful about not using anything that is irritating. I used sensitive skin products with no fragrance as I have a history of ectopic dermatitis so am careful. Take care I used products from Avene but Aveeno is good too.
I was prescribed arnica granules by my surgeon before/after my operations which I guess are similar to a tablet. I don't know what it's like to have an operation without them, but I can say that I recovered well! x
