Hi,
I had my drain out today and moved from a binder to surgical bra and soft boob for the first time. The softie is a bit firm and I'm feeling the pressure on my wound. Does anyone have any tips to improve comfort? I might change to a different bra and see if that helps, but any tips in case it doesn't would be greatly appreciated.
I also forgot to ask if I sleep in it - any advice?
Thank you
Hi LuckyD, I haven’t had a mastectomy myself, but noticed your post hadn’t had any replies yet, so I hope you don’t mind me popping in to chat.
I would think that it is overly sore at the moment, after having the drain removed, and I hope it is something that may ease with time. I did have a little look on the site and did find a recent post which you may find helpful. There are a couple of recommendations for softies and bras that you may find helpful. I’ll pop a link below.
Hopefully someone who has had personal experience of this will pop along soon and share their experience with you.
Wishing you all the best in your recovery.
Hi there,
I came out of my binder today ay and started to wear a post surgical bra with a softee. Although not painful, it did feel rather strange and a bit uncomfortable and so I have taken out some of the filling and that has really helped.
Take care and hope your recovery goes smoothly love and hugs xxxx
