Hi warriors! A quick turnaround, on Tuesday I was called in to my local hospital for pre-chemo treatment and this morning I’m starting the treatment! I’m a bit nervous but also looking forward to starting! I feel like I’ve been waiting forever despite the 3 surgeries I’ve had. I guess because I’ve been so lucky with healing it has made the waiting too long. I’m just hoping that the chemo won’t disturb my diabetes too much but hey, it’s got be done so I’m gonna have ride on…!
Sounds like your white blood cell count was low which can be a sign of infection. And you do have to be very careful. If your temp starts going up call immediately even if not above 37.5. I did and was told to go to hospital. Blood test showed I had neutropenic sepsis and I ended up admitted to hospital
F1 Petrolhead thank you very much for that!! I haven’t used any mouthwash yet!! But yes they gave me some including the anti thrush one. The funny thing is, I’ve been using mouth wash anyway but stopped since Friday! Dah….. I really appreciate the tips xx
thank you F1 Petrolhead...... will be mindful . I have a consultation on tuesday, so hopefully will be ok till then..... I feel fine
