Update…after 4 years of being stable with no avid disease my Feb and June PET scans showed some activity in the lymph nodes in my chest, stomach and bowel. My gastritis flared up on May 18th and 9 weeks later is still here.
Three weeks ago, I was due to have emergency bowel surgery followed by 4-6 weeks intensive recovery in ICU/HDU at Glos Royal Hospital.
Just reading and writing these words feels totally surreal. Me needing an urgent bowel op? In hospital for a week feeling desperately ill. Talk about a game changer and wake up call, all in one massive hit
Luckily my poo prayers were answered and I went to the loo naturally, clearing the bowel blockage. We all hailed the golden turd

️ shit of the year
it’s surprising what a poo
can do
the power of the poo
So now I’m home recuperating ️ and feeling stronger everyday. Revitalised and rejuvenated. Happy, hopeful and heartened. There has been so much love
I start IV chemo with cold cap treatment Friday. 1 hour IV once a week for 12 weeks. I will be on count down 121110987654321. Then back on oral chemo.
I am restoring and ready to live the next chapter of my life story
Bring it on ️

That so reminds me of something Bowel Babe said. My Mother had bowel cancer that was too advanced by the time it was picked up. I'm on the other side of breast cancer treatment.
Getting back to what I enjoy doing. We are still here, might as well keep annoying people. In Dec when I felt vulnerable post surgery I started thinking what I would do in summer, if I got through it. Yes and here I am, got my dress and sprayed my shoes for dancing with my group at Pride.
Great you cleared was was blocking your bowel. Doesn't sound possible, what did they give you? My dog is very constipated. I had to do a manual removal this morning, then gave him an enema. I was a Nurse, didn't think Id ever do that again. He can eat again now thankfully.
Good luck with everything. Love reading positive stories.
Thankyou lovely. I luckily went to the loo naturally when I was in hospital 3 weeks ago and this time they gave me some lactalose. Today it was natural!
