I had my surgery just over 3 weeks ago and had an appointment today Luckily all 8 of the lymph nodes they removed were negative for cancer. They are gonna do an oncotype DX test to decide if I need chemo or not. As well as hormone therapy and radiation therapy.
Does anyone know roughly how long the oncotype DX testing will take?
Best of luck on Friday, hope all goes well for you x
I didn't have to get my heart scan done b4 chemo
I had it done just b4 my second cycle
I had oncotype done last November - came back within 2 weeks. I was 29 so started chemo January this year
My hospital said I've to have it before I start. Just waiting on a call or letter with an appointment. Just looking your username, you an F1 fan? x
You don't need an appointment. The test is done on what was taken in surgery.
Im a huge F1 fan. Off to Spain begining June with a couple of friends to see Spanish gp
It's the appointment for the heart scan I'm waiting on.
Have the best time at the Spanish GP! I'd love to get to a GP one point! x
Good luck for next Tuesday. What I was going to say was, keep pushing for your results because I kept asking and after 4 weeks it turned out they forgot to send my Oncotype sample off. They hurriedly sent it off and I had the result within 2 weeks. Best wishes. Xx
