One Breast Or Two

Hiya everyone,

So a quick background. I’m 31 years old and I’ve been diagnosed with BC. I’m about to have my third round of chemo, so I’m still in the early stages of my journey, but one thing that I know will be coming is the mastectomy.
I just wanted some advice from those who have been through it. Did you just have the affected breast removed, or did you have both done? Were you given the option to have both done? Are there any benefits having both removed or is it better for just the one to go?

I know I’m way ahead of myself but I’d love to have the time to think about my options. My Dr hasn’t given me a definite answer of what will happen yet as it’s early(ish) days. It would be great to get some advice from those who have been through it.

Thank you in advance and I’m sending hugs to all of you!
