My daughter in law is adamant that a fruit and herbal diet will deal with a 2-5cm lump in her breast, first discovered two years ago. My son is frantic that his three year old son is going to lose his mother. Does anyone have any strategies we could use to persuade her to seek medical attention while continuing with the alternative therapy?
Hi FMJ , sorry you find yourself in this difficult situation. I wonder if your daughter in law would consider contacting the Penny Brohn Centre
https://www.pennybrohn.org.uk/why-choose-us/what-we-do/
I am keen on exploring ways of using diet and lifestyle to help prevent recurrence of my cancer, and have modified these since my diagnosis, but have taken all the conventional treatments offered (in my case, surgery, radiotherapy and ongoing hormone therapy). The PB Centre offers lots of support and information on integrative cancer care - ie complementary therapies alongside conventional treatments- maybe your d-in-law would be more open to their approach as it’s holistic?
Wishing you all well, a very difficult situation. Love and hugs, HFxx
Thank you SO much. Will look at the website immediately.
