Hi everyone,
i was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this. I got my second herceptin injection last thursday. And apart from being tired I had no other side effects (yet). it is just that the injection site is still a bit sore when touched. The nurse did inject it very quickly, could that be the reason? Any input would be appreciated
Hi when I had my herceptin injections the nurse injected it slowly over about 5 mins but the last one I had it was a new nurse and she done it quickly and boy that was sore for about a week maybe when you jave your next one in 3 weeks time let them know hope this helps xx
Hi I’ve finished my Herceptin course .. the usual 18 . I was told The best way to get as little discomfort as possible is to warm phial between hands while nurse getting ready because they take it from fridge and if left at that temp . It is sore going in . Also as everyone says it should be injected slowly .hope it gets better for you
Thanks Margate, will try that. It is not too bad today. I'll make sure next time I get it to remind the nurse to go slowly.
