Hello
I've just been diagnosed with invasive ductal cancer grade 3 triple negative I'm so scared is anyone going through the same?
Just very washed out at the moment and a bit fluttery in my stomach . Just need a good nights sleep . I have a shed load of meds to start tomorrow for the next week . An injection I have to do every say then more steroids and more anti sickness xx
Did you cold cap harleybear, do they explain everything to you xxx
No I didn’t cold cap as it doesn’t work often by all accounts . If you want to cold cap you will need to tell them before appointment as you will need a longer slot . They were great explaining everything went through it all in detail and gave me a folder with info on it . She was great and I took a mate with me as she drove and she could stay the whole time . The nurse syringes the chemo in while I had a fluid drip up so she sat with us the whole time . Very reassuring as I was a bit anxious after some of the side effects explained . Once it went in and I had no reaction I could relax a bit more xxx
Well done Harleybear we can and will all do this. I start on Friday xxxx
I will keep you updated as the week goes . The steroids are great as it lifts you I took tonight about an hour and half ago and it really woke me up . So good not to take them right on brd time xx
So glad it went well today. Was worried and thought of how you might be getting along. Great that it went so well. Let's hope it does every time, and make sure you sleep well. They have to tell you all the possible side effects, but it doesn't mean you will get them. Make sure you tell them how you are feeling and if you do get some weird side effects though, so they have the opportunity to help you and resolve any problems early on.
Thanks I will do . Am going to try to work tomorrow but won’t push it if I can’t do it . Night all . Onwards and upwards , it certainly feels better to have the treatment started especially as some of us still have the little critters (or not so little) inside until after chemo . Xxx
