Hi everyone, so I’ve just had the news that after 3 rounds of EC my lump is actually growing, great!
has this happened to anyone else?
the plan was to switch to docetaxel after 4 cycles of Ec but now it looks like I’m switching in 2 weeks after just having chemo yesterday. Let’s pray this one works!
Hi. I too had her2 positive. From the beginning I had docetaxol carboplatin pertuzemab and herceptin. This was with 5cm tumour. I also had lymph node involvement. Had 6 sessions of this and after 3 the rumour was not palpable or seen on ultrasound. They originally only wanted to shrink before mastectomy. Had a mastectomy 2 weeks ago. And all lymph nodes taken away. I have had results afters surgery and had complete pathological results. All your surgeon for this regime. Its so hard in not going to lie. But the results are amazing. Best of luck and thinking of you. X
that is amazing! I’m so pleased for you, I can’t even imagine how relieved you must be. I hope that I can get there too, I feel pretty hopeless right now and have been struggling a lot today with the fatigue. Feels like this nightmare will never end! xx
So pleased to hear your surgery results. I have had same treatment as you for a 55mm lump which is now showing as 10mm on scan. I have surgery 9 August so you give me hope that I also might be clear
Hi yes there were many times I wanted to stop chemo. Now looking back, I don't even recognise that women back then. I feel totally different. I've been hospitalised many times during my chemo. Now looking back I wouldn't have wanted anyway. It was obviously strong chemo and done its job.
At the beginning I didn't want to check my boob during chemo, as I didn't want to feel that it had grown. When I went to oncologist after 3 chemos, he checked and said he couldn't feel anything at all. He then sent me to have ultrasound, he also said that if I was going to see him for the first time he would have said to me what rumor. And that was in my lymph as well. He saw nothing.
Please keep being positive. Just got to get better after the surgery. But I've now got my tomorrow's back. Xx
