I developed tinnitis a few weeks after testing positive for covid last December. It was almost gone but then I hav my first (Pfizer) vaccine and a couple of weeks later it became worse.  I recently re-started letrozole which I originally tried (retinal detachment and eye issues)  then exemestane (insomnia,  reflux and raised blood pressure), and a break.  Since starting the letrozole my tinnitis is MUCH worse,  too the point I'm going to stop a while ad my ears hurt and I grey a headache from ther constant buzzing and ticking. Had anyone else had issues with this?

  • Hi Londonmumof2 welcome to the forum.

It was strange seeing that post from when I did as I had just been reading about Long Covid and the myriad of symptoms that it covered some still coming to light. Sadly Tinnitis was one of the symptoms listed.

Dont put up with that though as there is much that can be done to relieve this and alleviate the symptoms by speaking to the GP in the first instance.

Ive not heard of that before with Letrozole  but that's not to say that its not that, and maybe one of the other lovely folks on here will be able to add some knowledge and experience to the conversation and Im sorry not to have been of more help.

Hope that you manage to get this resolved as I imagine it can get very wearing for you.  Best Wishes.

  • Hi  I posted about 4 months ago on oestrogen reducing medication re tinnitus and got some replies.  Still have mine but still on Herceptin and Perjeta so hoping maybe in vain that mine will improve when I finish those . Mine started during chemotherapy but resolved before each  round of treatment then started again , Now constant and fluctuates between loud and a  very loud hissing . Hope yours improves.
