Hi all.
I had my final chemo session a week ago. I've been using the cold cap but lost a LOT of hair.
After session 5 I noticed quite a lot of regrowth. Who would have thought that such a small amount of fuzzy regrowth could make me so happy .
Just wondered if anyone else had this and if their regrowth fell out following further chemo.
Thanks in advance

Hi Julie
I have also lost hair, well most of it during treatment, I started off with the cold cap, but I leaked all down my back and after that I refused it.
Like you I have some regrowth which I am pleased to say has remained and is slowly growing. I have changed Chemo and my hair has stayed although my eye lashes have not returned but I can live with that.
I hope that helps.
All the best

hi
I had shoulder length hair and didn’t cut it at the start and I used the cold cap. While I did lose hair from around 2 weeks after the first session and then throughout the whole time I have ended up with around 60 percent left.
I got a couple of baldish areas, where the cap didn’t quite cover eg just above the ears and at the bottom of hair at the neck but the hair length from above covers it a bit
It is also a lot thinner all over but at the end I have got enough hair to feel confident enough not to wear a hat to cover it. I bought a wig for just in case, but it is still in the box unworn!
Each session I thought, well that wasn’t worth it because I have lost hair anyway, but then my husband would say you have still got some so keep going. My daughter who is a hairdresser said keep going and at the end we could weave hair extensions in if you have some hair left to attach it to. So I kept going.
It actually started to grow back in during my last few cycles of docetaxel and is already starting to fill in the thinner areas! it is a lot thicker and seems to be growing in curly. I am just so glad it is returning.
good luck!
