Hello, I have metastatic breast cancer, in 2018 I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. Had all the treatment and was given all clear until last May 2020 where they discovered that it had returned. Its in the tissue behind my breast and luckily has not gone further. Had proper chemotherapy but could not have radiotherapy on the same area. They thought it might have spread to my bones but last scan showed it hadn't thankfully. So they have put me on capecitabine but I find it exhausts me, thought it was only 6 rounds but apparently this is it, I'm on it as long as it works for me. My question is this, are there any of you that have managed to work whilst on it and specifically teaching? I miss it so much and I know part of it is me trying to hang on to my old life but I really want to go back. I just can't imagine working if I feel like I need an afternoon nap! It might also be a little bit due to Covid too.
