Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this website and also to having a diagnosis.
Even though so many of my family and friends have had cancer it still came as a shock when I found a lump in my breast and now know its a tumour.
Just wait for an Mri scan and then will find out more about surgery and treatment.
How long on average has anyone waited for a scan and then to start treatment. I was diagnosed last Friday with grade 3 triple negative breast cancer.
Thankyou x

You will probably get a date for your MRI within the week. The results of the MRI will be discussed at a Multi disciplinary meeting (Surgeons, Oncologists, Breast Care Nurses) and your treatment plan will be decided upon. Depending on your NHS Trust it can take a few weeks. Once decided upon though, it will be a whirlwind. As you have triple negative it will probably be chemo, followed by surgery and then radio. All the best for your treatment.
Thankyou lesley, I'm hoping its sorted soon.
