Hi,
Is anyone else taking these white cell boosting sub cutaneous injections.
Hi Bramble,
That’s a helpful tip, thanks. I actually had some training years ago so was OK about giving them myself, but didn’t think about that.
Did you get them after each chemo or was it a one off?
Bluebell x
Hi Bluebell, I only got them when I started the Taxotere part of FEC-T. x
Thanks for the reply. I’ll find out more next chemo
Hi Crawler I had 2 FEC and 3 T, I ended up in hospital once with the FEC and twice with the T, all due to not drinking, and once was because of oral thrush when I couldn’t eat or drink. I ended up on a drip. Once I had fluid in me I was fine so try to drink as much as you can during and after your session.
Hope you don’t mind me being honest! x
Hi,
Yes I have do these for 3 days after weekly paclitaxel. I’ve found it easier to do the injection than I feared, it hasn’t really hurt. But I do find they make my legs ache on the days I take them - my chemo nurse recommended paracetamol just to take the edge of. x
Hi Joesdog,
Thanks. Injecting them is easy enough. I do seem to be tired about an hour after though.
I’ve decided to gradually start giving them later in the day. Have to take them for a week.
Bluebell xx
