Setting this up a bit early....and I will ask Admin to ‘sticky’ it
Dclem4, good luck for today, my thoughts will be with you for this afternoon. You have such an amazing and positive approach and have been so supportive to others, you will okay. Take things easy and let the nurses take good care of you, they are brilliant.
, well done, first session done, a step closer to being well again. I find I flush a lot after chemo too and think it is the steroids. Take it easy today, rest lots and drink plenty of fluids.
Daydreamer6, pleased to see you are feeling more like yourself this morning. I am now on day 7 and have woken up feeling more normal too, I'm hoping to get out for a walk today. It's taken me longer to get over this than the previous treatment but I think things are improving.
, not sure whether you've had your chemo yet, if so take it easy and be kind to yourself. I was told by my nurses to take the anti-sickness tablets early, I left it late this time and suffered because of it.
Cold cap update - my hair has shed a bit more than previously but seems to be hanging on in there so far.
Keep going everyone, sending hugs xx
Thanks well done for 1st round over! You did it. Keep a check of side effects to tell your team, I was told anything other than feeling normal is worth telling them about...that might be a long list sometimes!
praying SE are minimal and manageable over next week. Sending hugs
Wishing you all peace and calm in the storm...with a helping of laughter and joy to bring healing ️
Morning everyone, did my sleep audio and got a solid 61/2 hrs. Could have been longer but needed to pee Bag packed for chemo day, enjoyed a nice warm bath-first one in months due to surgery...will try for a walk about 12pm to relax before lunch then leave.
Hope you get sorted with the leg swelling Daydreamer6 that must have been uncomfortable.
hope all goes well with next chemo and no bad reactions.
Hollythecat and PatsyP2 hope your getting your energy back a little bit and SE easing. Sending big hugs and healing thoughts to everyone with appointments and treatments this weeks. We can do this!

Sorry Kelstar9 a bit behind in developments. Glad you have been seen, good luck with the next chemo sessions will be keeping my fingers crossed for you in the hope that you tolerate it. I think the thing is you work yourself up and mentally prepare for all these sessions so having it suddenly cut short must be difficult. Understand your decision all of us are going through so much with this chemo treatment, might as well completely nail it if you can. I have my third EC session tomorrow they come round very quickly on this 2 week cycle, so soon will be on the Pacitaxol soon myself.
Let us all know how it goes

Morning, well I did! 1st chemo session over, nurse was lovely and I did try the cold cap. First 10mins and last 20 uncomfortable, I was against it because of added time in hospital but chemo unit was well socially distanced and as nurse said if you don’t try 1st chemo there’s no going back. So will wait and see how it goes. Feeling tired but not tired and had leg pains last night and a bit of nausea plus a thumping headache. Leg pains settled with my Michael Seeley healing audio and got some sleep, woke at 4am and read my book for an hour. Up again at 7am for early brekkie as told to take both steroids before 12/1pm as they’ll keep me awake. Dozed off again as I was reading my book and just staggering out of bed at this late hour. Still feeling nauseous and still got a thumping headache so will try some paracetamol...do I need to tell team about that, I’m not sure as they said to report everything?
I hope side effects settling for everyone, not sure if I’ll be doing much today!
Any appointments or treatments good luck

Well done Dclem4that’s the first one done! How are you feeling now?
To be honest after my first treatment I was on the phone to my team quite a lot! If nothing else it was reassuring to know what I was feeling was expected and that I was taking the meds correctly. They are very nice and not once made me feel like Inwas wasting their time. Which was the other worry.
With the nausea, I assume they gave you all the various anti sickness meds and explained when to take them? If the headache isn’t easing with paracetamol they may suggest a stronger painkiller.
sending hugs xx
Hi Daydreamer6 headache has eased a little bit and meds keeping nausea under control so I’ve managed some snacks. Lower legs feel very achy and I’m feeling tired despite a decent sleep but otherwise not bad glad your feeling better and stronger, hoping my injections don’t have bad side effects as they start tomorrow I read someone suggested Loratidine antihistamines before injection and paracetamol after to help with bone pain and flu feeling but not sure if everyone gets that SE?
I’ve had a pink chest and neck after steroids etc this morning and strangely the only nipple I have is also very pink. No temperature but if it doesn’t go away will phone for advice. Reassuring to know you phoned as well, it’s just the uncertainty of not knowing if it’s ‘normal’ for chemo isn’t it?
How you getting on after your 1st session?
Sending positive thoughts anc healing hugs to everyone

Dclem4yes moomy originally suggested the loratadine when myself & Judith struggled with injection related aches & pains & couldn’t sleep because of them. I found it helped me.
Not everyone gets side effects from the injections and cycles 3,4 & 5 I’ve had minimal to no pain from them. I’ve only needed a paracetamol or 2 and have been fine. I do feel they add to my tiredness as looking back I always perk up a bit when they’ve finished. No scientific evidence for that could be co-incidental..
wishing you and everyone a restful evening xx
I had my first cycle of EC today. It all went very smoothly, definitely helped having the picc line, so easy. I feel a bit 'funny', can't really describe it, a little fuzzy as if I'd had a drink. Also tired as I didn't sleep well last night, I'm looking forward to bedtime and keeping my fingers crossed for a good nights sleep. Best wishes to everyone x
