Hello.two weeks ago I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. I went for an mri last week and they found a second lump. The first is 10 mm the second is 8 mm, so both small. They have also found a lump under my arm. So I’m going back for ultrasound and biopsy. Feel like I’m living on borrowed time!

The delay was due to me having to see the anaesthetist beforehand as I suffer with asthma and sleep apnoea, they didn't want me to stop breathing when I was asleep!

  • Glad your surgery is over now. So hopefully mine could be 4-6 weeks then xxx

Hi sorry if this is the wrong post but I was wondering if anyone could help me, I’ve been diagnosed with health anxiety which now makes me reluctant to contract the Drs incase they fob me off saying it’s anxiety, I don’t know if it’s dimpling or stretch marks, the red dot I noticed last night and today I’ve had very sore (like burning sensation) in upper arm underneath

  • Hi I am waiting for plastics to contact me now, to do my masectomy with reconstruction, they shouldn't drag there feet should there xxxx

You should have created your own post with these questions.  Where are these marks, have you had surgery, if so what surgery have you had?  The burning sensation can be as a result of lymph node removal. The numbness can feel like sunburn.  If these marks are on your arm and it is following lymph node removal it can be due to mild lymphodema.

A lot depends on your hospital trust but as we are near the end of the pandemic there should be more capacity in hospital for elective surgeries.

  • Hi how long did you wait for surgery pls xxx

I’m new here, I’m 22 and a new mum. I don’t know how to work it. Sorry for posting on the wrong thread like I stated I didn’t know if it was the right thing. These marks are on my breast I’ve always had stretch marks but I’ve noticed them more recently. No surgery nothing. I’m scared to go to the drs incase they tell me it’s my anxiety so I came here first for some advice

  • So does 4-6 weeks seem realistic, was yours  during the pandemic xx

I really don't know about the wait.  Mine was in December so yes, during the pandemic.  As I said, it depends on your hospital trust.  If I didn't have other health issues mine would have been within 4 weeks but didn't have recon.
