Thank you everyone for your reply

I took it with my lunch as I dont eat breakfast and didn't want to take it on a empty stomach only time will tell how bad the side effects will be. It is just not knowing how long it will be before I am re  booked to have surgery

Take care

I have been on Letrozole for three years now. I started on it before surgery and then over surgery (and maybe over radiotherapy and chemotherapy as well - how could I forget?) I was told not to take it. However, for the best part of three years I have been taking it. It seems people's experiences are different. I do have some stiffness particularly in my ankles in the mornings and also when getting up off the sofa at any time of day. I think this is, as much as anything, age-related. On other sites I have seen that some people say that they put on weight. I really do wonder whether it is because those people have ceased to move as much, but who am I to say? I have actually managed to lose weight overall by to some extent minding my diet and also through exercise (walking, aquafit). One thing I would say is that if you find a make of the tablet that suits you then go out of your way to trawl the chemists every two months to make sure you continue with that same make. I am on Accord and I find it okay. I know that all the Letrozole brands will have the same base ingredients but the rest of the 'mix' may be different. Again, this may be a load of nonsense but anything that can make you feel more at ease is worth considering.
