Hi there
My husband has been diagnosed with grade 3 invasive lobular breast cancer. He was unaware of any lump and it started breaking through the chest wall about the middle of January. He's 82 and managed to hide it from me until 6 weeks ago by which time it was a hard fungating mass. Everything has moved pretty fast since then. It has spread to lymph nodes in his armpit but thankfully no further. His treatment plan is for chemotherapy and genetic testing and hopefully surgery in the future.
He saw the oncologist today and is due to start treatment within the next 2 weeks. Abemaciclib and Lebazole tablets and 4 weekly Zoladex injections.
We feel quite isolated as breast cancer is so rare in men and invasive lobular especially so.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
