Morning lovely
take your time and be led by your body -you have had a right battering by the sound of it.
i can’t imagine being so very ill in addition to dealing with your diagnosis. I also have had lobular cancer and surgery. I felt ok immediately after but my energy levels definitely took a huge knock so I’m hardly surprised you are feeling the way you do.
maybe do less and save up the energy for something you really enjoy? Meal out, coffee and cake with understanding friends, a slap up facial, get your nails done or a nice float in local swimming pool. Little things sometimes give you a big lift.
I totally get what you mean about replaying everything that’s happened to you and feeling stuck. When I heard the word cancer I went into survival mode and pushed down all the panic and fear. It’s got to come out somewhere. Do you have anyone you trust who could handle you explaining how you are feeling? Megan at MacMillan recommended journaling or writing what your feeling down- this might help you rationalise your thinking and slow down those unhelpful racing thoughts. I’m doing a letter to my partner as I just get upset and tongue tied when I try to talk to him.
you’ve been so strong so far and you’ve got through what sounds like the very worst of times. MacMillan have fantastic support info and listeners on the phone- do give them a call they can give you some reassurance that what you’re feeling is normal.
im sending love and good vibes your way
