Hi All

My first post here, I'm half way through my treatment I have had a full right removal with reconstruction, so now have a very large wobbly 50 year old left boob and a young small perky right boob.

I have had my tumor test results back, and my first meeting with oncologist. I'm struggling to understand all the treatment pathways( I'm a detail person.)The biggest issue I have is a small benefit to chemo only 2.9% on my Oncotype test. As  I'm covered by Bupa I have access to a drug that replaces some of the benefit. The consultant is indicating the benefit is so low he would be comfortable with not doing Chemo. I am finding really hard to decide as don't want any regrets but also don't want to put the body through such an ordeal.

Has anyone else had a low benefit to chemo ?

I'm going back to see oncologist or giving myself more time to decide.

  • I had a low score too so I was given a choice. I chose letrozole (I later switched to Exemestane) both on the NHS and Ribociclib (paid for by BUPA).

There are side effects but they seem to affect people differently.
