I was recently diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer and have been scheduled for a lumpectomy, followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
The diagnosis came as a shock and has caused me many sleepless nights. It took a lot of courage to join this forum, especially after reading about different people’s experiences. The potential side effects of chemotherapy are honestly quite frightening for me.
However, I have chosen to stay strong, embrace the process, and fight to overcome this.
I would be grateful for any information, support, or guidance on how best to navigate this journey.
I was diagnosed in August with Triple negative BC … I’m on a different treatment plan to you … got breast lump and one lymph node affected.
I’m currently having chemo ( pacitaxi annd carbolatin ( spelling may be wrong ! ) plus immunotherapy and soon to start EC. I will have surgery after chemo.
side effects not too bad though my asthma has been affected.
I will admit I’m nervous about EC!
I wish you all the best and to try to embrace it as you mentioned .. think it’s the only way. One day at a time.
there is a Triple negative group on here which you may find useful to tap into.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with me. I’m glad your side effects have been manageable, though I’m sorry to hear about the impact on your asthma.
I will definitely look into the triple-negative groiup. Wishing you strength and smooth recovery as you continue your treatment.
