Hello my name is Shirley, I got diagnosed with grade 3 her2 positive. Pet-CT confirms metastatic bony disease with FDG activity at T7, left side of sacrum and proximal femur. MRI whole spine confirms tumor infiltrating the spinal canal at T7 . I have had urgent radiotherapy First line treatment with combination of Paclitaxel and Phesgo and addition of Denosumab. I am on three weekly injections for life. I have a problem with my skin it itches and I scratch it in the night. Can anyone suggest a cream that they use
Thank you, i have got Udderly cream but I had a reaction to it , a burning sensation so I had to wash it off. I will try aloe vera and I have also ordered E45 anit itch cream when arrived today. Thank you for your reply x
The aloe vera is very cooling, even more so if kept in the fridge x
I’ve just had my 77th Phesgo injection following diagnosis, chemo and a mastectomy.
honestly, I have found no cream to stop the itching. Antihistamines work but I try not to take them every day. When the itching is really bad, Vicks provides a different sensation which brings a bit of calm and I sometimes take 2 antihistamines. Some alcohol definitely worsens the itching and the sun seems to calm it down.My oncologist recommended, zinc for itching and magnesium for cramping.
Hi Shirley, so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I have secondary breast cancer with mets in all bones including spine. I am on ribociclib, denosumab and exemastane and also had radiotherapy. I had such a bad rash I could not live with it and tried all kinds of creams. GP didn't know what it was. I showed the oncologist and it was from the ribociclib. He has lowered my dose and now it is okay. Maybe your oncologist can lower dose of paclitaxel to help. Have you told your team about the itching? Hope you get some relief soon.

I am sorry about your diagnosis and I have no specific advice except when I got chicken pox in my 30s the only thing that helped my itching was putting a good handful of porridge oats in a pop sock/tights and knotting it and then have it float around the bath. I don't know how it worked but it took away the intense itch and was really soothing. I hope you feel better soon
