I’m also in the same boat this week . New diagnosis breast cancer .
I don’t think it’s very nice not to be warned to take someone with you for tests . It’s a hell of a shock to be told the news especially when you’re on your own . Routine tests they obviously weren’t i
more biopsies Tuesday ?
oncologist appointment on Thursday .
feeling anxious, mind in overdrive
Hi ARO welcome to the forum..I am.so sorry to hear your news and to hear that news alone must have been devastating for you. How did your appointment come about? Had you been having issues or concerns? Normally you get recalled after a Mammogram and that's usually an alert that they can see something and they may do biopsies as well. However, they cannot tell with any certainty as to what they are dealing with until the results of biopsies come back which usually means a wait? I'm curious because reading your post there doesn't seem to have been that wait. Best Wishes Gail x
Hi Gail, thanks for replying .
It was a suspicious lump seen by the GP. I was t overly concerned at the hospital as the GP hadn’t been .
I had mammograms, scan and 3 biopsies on the day and due back for more on Tuesday same breast .
I presume she saw a mass on mammograms which is why she told me before I left .
