Hello,
I am asking a question here on behalf of a friend living in the UK. I am Canadian - so I don't know much of the organizations and communities that exist across the pond.
So my friend's is financially struggling, barely scrapping by for rent and food, but would like to visit her aunt who has breast cancer (terminal) who moved away. So I want to know if there are any ways for her to find cheap travelling options, or safe carpooling, etc? She states that it would cost her approx 100GBP.
Please help me find alternatives for her any suggestions or ideas are welcome.
Best,
Ari
Hi arilemon welcome to the forum ..it is challenging for any of us to answer with any certainty as the start and finish destination would determine the travel costs. Your friend could visit the local CAB office as they could maybe advise and help. Alternatively can I suggest that your friend makes contact with the Macmillan Line in the UK on 08088080000. They will also be able to offer advice and may know more re localised transport options. Best wishes Gail
Thank you for your swift response! I'll forward them the information asap. Warm regards, Ari
If you care to tell us from where to where we might be able to suggest cost effective public transport options.
