Hi all,
I am 39. I was diagnosed with ER+ HER2 negative breast cancer in my right breast about a month ago. I have 2 lumps 2cmx2.1cm and 1cm x 1.2cm. Fortunately, there was no lymph node involvement. I recently had a breast MRI, which showed a 1.7 mm area of calcification( as per MRI) in my left breast, and I had a biopsy done there two days ago.
A CT scan also revealed some fine lesions in my right pelvic bone, which is making me quite anxious about the possibility of metastasis. Currently, I’m on Letrozole and Zoladex, but I haven’t been given a surgery date yet.
Has anyone had a similar experience? I'm feeling uncertain and would appreciate hearing from others who might have gone through something like this.

Hi Recon, I’m having my results tomorrow from a biopsy done last Weds. consultant believes it to be lobular breast cancer. Although my lymph nodes are clear I am having bone pain so very anxious it has spread. Shall know more tomorrow. Haven’t had any CT scans yet. Did they give you a contact number for breast nurse to ask advice on concerns?
Hi Moira Rose, is it today you are getting your results? I wanted to with you luck and let us know how you get on x
They did give me a contact number but it doesn't go to the nurse directly. I have to call the reception and ask them to speak to the nurse. I wish you all the luck for the biopsy results.
Take care.
Thank you so much xx so lobular cancer was confirmed, hormone receptive. Need CT scan and MRI before treatment plan discussed. Could be a 2 week wait. Trying to stay positive it’s Stage 2.
Hi Moira, stay strong. Mine is lobular as well. But there are extensive areas of calcifications so I will be having Mastectomy on my right breast. Although they did not tell me what stage it is what I just now know is it is Grade 2 which is not aggressive.
Sending you massive hugs, I think mastectomy likely too. I’ve found Dr Liz O’Riordan’s book and YouTube channel really helpful and informative x She’s a BC survivor/warrior!
I’m really sorry to hear you may be going through a mastectomy as well. That’s such a big thing to face, and I’m sending you all my love and strength. I’ve found Dr Liz O’Riordan’s insights so helpful too – it’s comforting to hear from someone who really understands both sides. We’ll get through this together. x
