Morning everyone 1st time using anything like this

Diagnosed July last year, lumpectomy in September then mastectomy to right breast 1st October

Scheduled for 12 lots of chemo but started with breathing difficulties after 3/4 lots and it got that bad that stopped chemo after 9th lot. Luckily it's all preventative treatment.

Unfortunately breathing is not improving much even though I have been off the chemo for nearly 4 months, which is getting very frustrating. So I was wondering if anyone else had similar experiences and any hints on how to improve this as I am just being told it's just a matter of time

Thanks for reading Thumbsup

  • Hi

Sorry I had none of these symptoms.  What does your BCN say and indeed your consultant.  Keep asking the questions and get answers that help you.

    All the best

  • Hi  No experience from me also - sorry, but I wondered if anyone may be around now who has experience this, as by answering I'm pushing your question back to page 1.

I had a look and found this, may not be of any use:

    • Follow your doctor's recommendations:
Treatment may include medications to help with inflammation, blood transfusions for anemia, or other therapies to address the underlying cause of your breathing problems.
    • Practice breathing exercises:
Simple breathing techniques, such as pursed-lip breathing, may help alleviate some of the symptoms of breathlessness.
    • Find a comfortable position:
Sitting upright or leaning forward may make it easier to breathe.
      Kindest wishes, Lesley
