Hi Bella 098, It’s good news that nothing has been found and I can understand your ongoing anxiety but be sure that you wouldn’t have been discharged if the surgeon had any doubts whatsoever.
my cancer first presented through my nipple which was very hard and dry, I put lots of moisturiser on and a tissue to protect my bra and that night there was two or three tiny pin pricks of blood which I wouldn’t have seen had I not put a tissue there. If you get any discharge or blood go back straight away otherwise try to relaxe and live your life.
Best wishes for a cancer free future Xxx
Hi, I’m sorry you have anxiety re your nipple inversion.. If it reassures you, you can ask for a second opinion. If your nipple isn’t normally inverted and it’s only the one, I can understand your concern. I felt a thickness in my right breast but didn’t go to my gp until my right nipple was inverted. When I looked down I could see that it was slightly inverted but wasn’t noticeable head on. My gp referred me to the breast clinic. The surgeon examined me and said sometimes a ladies breast thickens with age but sent me for a mammogram, ultrasound and core biopsy. I was told there and then I had breast cancer because if the needle test. The biopsy result said I didn’t. The surgeon wasn’t convinced with my results so he did another core biopsy. Results came back with Tubular cancer which is a good one to have but harder to diagnose. I don’t want to discourage or worry you but I would definitely get a second opinion. I had surgery and a second one as my margins weren’t clear, two weeks of radiotherapy and on Anastrazole for five years. Let me know how you get on. Best wishes and hugs
