Hello
I have been reading the online chats for over a week and felt it was time to message now. It’s been a whirlwind. I was diagnosed almost 5 weeks ago age 52 after having a ct scan to check for another condition which was all ok. A nodule was seen on my L breast so quickly I made GP Appt & seen at breast clinic. This was found to be non cancerous but then seen by ultra sound another 15mm small lump not seen on ct or mammogram! A biopsy was taken as they were unsure but felt at time unlikely to be cancerous. Unfortunately they were wrong. I had my lumpectomy 2 weeks about today I was told on ultra sound lymph nodes look clear but until you get that from the horses mouth and nodes checked it’s a scary time. I was also informed normally not as agressive as a rare mucinous type. It’s been an horrendous few weeks which I’m sure you can all relate to. I’m an anxious person at the best of time but this is on another level. Back next week for results :-(

Hi Warrior52,
Sorry to hear you have breast cancer. The waits are horrendous anxiety provoking.
Once you have your results and treatment plan you will be able to take it step by step and take control again.
In the meantime try to distract yourself doing things you enjoy, spend time with friends and family. Be kind to yourself.
Wishing you well on your recovery and sending hugs xxx
Hi Warrior,
Your story is very similar to mine especially in timing.
I found a lump 6 weeks ago but they were very sure it was nothing untoward but came up cancerous with the biopsy which was a surprise to everyone. Mine was also small and didn’t show up on mammogram.
I had my lumpectomy a week ago and now awaiting next apt with results from sentinel lymph node biopsy.
Yes it is a scary time and agree it’s a whirlwind but I’m pleased that it was caught early and everything is happening as quick a possible.
You can only take one step at a time and deal with it step by step. Although it’s a shock I very much focus on the positives of being found early and treatment available.
Good luck with your results
Thank you for your reply
Hope you are keeping well and on your way to recovery
