Hi everyone had my lumpetomy on the 10th of October now waiting to hear whether I need chemo or radiotherapy as my samples were sent to America (that was confusing)hoping for just radiotherapy, I still can't look at my scar as my nipple was removed I read the comments on here and feel like a coward as lots have been through so much worse.
Hi Moly,
Please don't feel like a coward. You are very brave. Cancer is a scary word and a scary disease.
We all suffer from anxiety and fear of the unknown. Give yourself time to recover from your operation and process what's happening to you. Cancer changes us all, physically and emotionally.
The macmillan nurses and cancer care are also a great support and are there daily to speak with.
This forum is also helpful to hear others stories and recovery journeys. However we are all individuals and whilst we have similar diagnosis our treatments may differ slightly depending on our needs. But it is very helpful when you read others stories sho are further along their journey and now in remission.
I wish uou well in your recovery and please keep us updated. Be kind to yourself and do what you need to at your pace xx
Thank you I'm looking for a group in my area as I think that would help me ,but thank you again for your kind words x
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
