Hello !

I had hormonal breast cancer 12 years ago had mastectomy with immediate diep flap reconstruction which failed after a week A few surgeries followed all very difficult followed by 9 years on tamoxifen  not easy  but  got through it  and back to full health  but have just been diagnosed with completely different breast cancer. Triple negative lobular breast cancer 4 to 6 months maybe more  chemo ahead and  told it’s in a difficult position  I just feel so lost and afraid.  Don’t know where to turn. Just writing it down. Thanks for listening !

  • Hi Golden Eye

Welcome to the forum, I'm Daisy53 one of the Community Champions on this forum.  I'm sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer.  I've had both hormonal breast cancer and triple negative breast cancer.  Mine happened in a different order than yours.

I was first diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in my left breast nearly four years ago and then less than 3 years later I was diagnosed with hormonal breast cancer in my right breast and a recurrence of triple negative breast cancer in my left breast.  I had to have chemo and radiotherapy both times.  I made a full recovery both times and I'm still cancer free nearly two years down the line.

Wishing you the best of luck with your treatment.

    Best wishes

  • Thank you so very much Daisy 53 for sharing your very difficult experiences with me which are so similar to my own, only the other way round.

I am so glad to hear that you made a full recovery both times  but I’m sure it was a very long and difficult journey for you. It is so good to hear that you are still cancer free two years on.

Stay well  Daisy53 and thank you so very, very much for your message which  was really helpful as I sway between pure panic and tears.

Another CT scan tomorrow and  another MRI on Sunday with  first Oncologist appointment on 16th July to discuss chemotherapy.

    Take care Daisy53!

    Many thanks

    Golden Eye
