Hi folks, I’m new here, been lurking for a couple of days. I had a recall appointment this week at the breast screening clinic after a routine mammogram. They carried out further mammogram and ultrasound and said there is an area of concern of approximately 9mm. A biopsy was carried out and a marker placed, I’m awaiting appointment now for results and next stage. I was given various leaflets and also information on The Small Study as the Dr said I would likely be asked if I would like to participate. Has anyone had any experience of this?
I’m also anxious if my result is positive as I suffer from heart failure too and concerned that will be an added complication with any meds. I know I’ve not had the results yet but I always like to be prepared.

Welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear that it looks like you have been diagnosed with breast cancer but they won’t know for sure until the results of your biopsy. I am also sorry to hear that you suffer from heart failure. When deciding what meds to give you your medical team will factor in the heart failure.
