Hey everyone. I'm a 31 year old diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of June. Just had my second round of chemo and hanging in there.

Have been browsing this forum for the last few months but finally bit the bullet and joined properly.

Sending love and best wishes to all.

  • Hi, i think everybody browses first before they jump in. You will i am sure find help and advice on this site if ever need it in the future. Here,s hoping your treatment goes well, hang on in there it can be a bumpy ride but try to be positive and treat yourself to something nice frequently haha. All the best

  • Hi and welcome to the forum.  Most people do browse first, and it is good to read about other peoples experiences.  Great information and support too on here.  I hope your treatment continues ok and as Wino said, do treat yourself, you deserve it.  Take care xx

  • welcome hi, sorry you are here

  • Welcome Guinea 24. The threads on the forum are quite varied.  I hope you find them useful and supportive.

  • Hiya. As others have said here is a great source of support and advice. Particularly useful for me when going through chemo as I could check things out with people who have had similar experiences rather than rush to medical advice. Don't be a stranger and remember no question is daft on here.

  • Hi  and welcome to the forum, I was a ‘lurker’ before joining and posting! Love and hugs, HFxx

  • Hi all and thank you for your kind words.

It's definitely nice to have a place I can chat / look up random stuff/ ask for opinions.

My fiance is amazing at listening to my 'is this normal?' questions, but rightly so often says he's not a medical professional and it's all such a minefield!

Sending love and best wishes to you all! Heart️

  • Your fiance is right it is a minefield and everyone's cancer journey is so individual. If you have questions or concerns about how you are feeling don't forget you should have your red card team who are medical people or your chemo unit who might be able to help. If you are the slightest bit concerned then call. I did when my temperature started rising even though it wasn't at the 38 level I had been told was danger for sepsis. I got to 37.5 and red card team said go to hospital to check bloods as a precaution.  I did this and it turned out I had neutropenic sepsis and ended up in hospital overnight. Better to be over cautious in my book.
