Hi,ive joined the ckub no ine wants to join! diagnosed on Thursday with grade 3,invasive, triple negative breast cancer. Absolutely terrified and feeling every emotion going! Chemo then surgery.
Hi Claire
sorry you have joined the TNBC club my advice is don’t google as you will have yourself dead and buried within a week !! It is very scary and the waiting for treatment and results is the most terrifying time . Once you have a plan you will feel better , I had a lumpectomy first as my lump was small !! Lymph’s clear I’m 5 weeks today post surgery . I see the oncologist on the 7 th June for chemo plan and start date .I feel so much better now than I did when I was diagnosed in March .keep positive love it’s hard I know but it does help . Good luck with your journey xx
What you are feeling is completely natural. Weve all been there. I would agree don't Google use here for advice it's invaluable. You got this xxx
Hi there,
Echo the non googling at this stage - positively unhelpful! I also was diagnosed grade 3 TNBC 2 days before christmas. Chemo first for me and then surgery - half way through chemo my MRI showed a complete response to the treatment - the tumour has apparently gone. Got to finish off the treatment (4 to go) and then surgery (to check for cells - but also I have a gene mutation), but ostensibly from a cancer point of view its looking good.
I have also tolerated the chemo well.
You will definitely feel better once your plan is in place and it all starts - promise!

Hi Claire it's horrible hearing the news, but they've got you, hope chemo goes well the Macmillan team are great please contact them if you have questions. All I would say is tell close family and friends so you have support around you, keep all your letters in a file, write appointments on a calendar, check if you can get car park at hospital at discount. Have comfy clothes ready and meals at hand in freezer. We are all here and been on similar journeys take time to breathe with relaxing or meditation music xx
Depending on trust you may get free parking. My unit we got a parking ticket that was valid for 20 entries. On chemo days I didn't drive as I had read due to the chemo drugs containing alcohol you may be over the limit to drive but there was a pick up drop off outside the unit
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
