Hello, I found a large lump in my breast and was told 4 days ago that it was cancer (stage 2, group 3 & triple negative).
Apart from the horrific range of emotions I am experiencing, I also have a lot of pain within the area of the tumour. I’ve been told that I will have chemo and then surgery, but I’m not sure how long I can endure this constant pain.
it’s so hard to carry on and push it to the back of your head when the discomfort is constant. I’m also a single parent with an 8 yo boy. It’s breaking my heart when I think of how this could potentially affect him.
I have an MRI and Oncology in 2 days, but I feel like I’m going out of my mind!!!
many advice would be greatly appreciated.
I suppose I’m seeking reassurance.
Hi, I was diagnosed at the end of September. My tumour was very painful too. I could feel the radiographer rolling the ultra sound over it. I’m now 7 months down the road. Drs and nurses are great and treatment has come on so much. You’re probably in for a long haul but be patient and you’ll get there.
Hi, thank you for sharing your experience and your advice. How long did it take for your pain to go?
I bruise very easy so being honest I’m still in pain but it’s more like I’ve been kicked than the nerve pain. One you have your tumour removed the pain should go but then you’ll feel a bit bruised.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
