I just wanted to share a link to my blog, my journey so far, in case it helps anyone else to read my experience so far, I think it’s quite common for us to start this process of writing it down and for me with the memory capability of a goldfish it definitely helped to get a timeline down alongside the emotions.

Hi Mucky,
I've just read some of your blog.
I am also with Ms Olsen - it seems we had our biopsies on the same day too (6th Feb).
It's really helpful reading somebody else's thoughts.
I'm recovering from my surgery and waiting for Oncology referral so not moving quite as fast as you, but I'm here with you and sharing the journey. x
Thank you, I didn’t have any pain which was weird and at first thought the lymph node was a red herring, only to find it was actually the first clue in hindsight. How far into treatment are you now?
Hi Mrs P
Thats weird to know we were both in on the same day. How are you feeling after surgery? Welcome to the hurry up and wait. Have you had your surgery results yet? X
Hi, my surgery was 23/3 and I'm feeling fine in myself. No pain at all and happy with the cosmetics so far.
I went back to work this week (from home) but I am getting tired easily. I don't think I'll be doing burpees any time soon.
I had no lumps to feel, mine was picked up by mammo so a massive shock.
Initial diagnosis was fed to me as lobular, but the biopsy report came back showing grade 2 invasive ductal carcinoma, with areas of lobular-like morphology.
I got my surgery results 5/4. They weren't as good as I hoped.
I thought I was dealing with a 15mm grade 2 after the biopsy and mri, but the post-surgery histology said 21mm grade 3 IDC, with areas of intermediate to high DCIS. I don't have massively clear margins all the way round, closest being 0.2mm, but clear is clear I guess. 1 area of micro metastasis in the 1 node removed. Like you I made the mistake of googling what NPI meant, so I'm trying to work on the glass half-full mentality.
I'm currently waiting for the Oncotype DX test to see if chemo would be of benefit and also waiting for my oncology referral. I know it's radiotherapy and 5 years of hormone therapy whatever happens.
Sending virtual hugs from just down the road.
Yes I definitely got my hopes up after initial biopsy! Hoping for your surgery and just radiotherapy. Having had all lymph nodes removed has been biggest challenge. I’m a dog Walker/boarder but not returned as such a physical job, and once chemo starts I’m not sure what energy I’ll have. Glad it wasn’t only me who googled the npi! Doesn’t matter how many times they say don’t google, we google! I know mines definitely chemo but don’t know my cocktail or schedule! Hopefully I won’t see you there. Xx
Well if in a couple of months time you spot another 50-year-old bald woman in the High Street, it might be me....
In the meantime, don't let the B*st*rds grind you down!
Thank you. That's really helpful. I'm at the beginning and the up and down emotions are taking me by surprise. I even ended up crying when on the phone to a help desk because I couldn't update my password. Sometimes the frustration and helplessness overcomes me. I've not been this person before.
Sorry I didn’t see your reply. The emotions are the worst. The feeling of helplessness! I finally saw the oncologist this Tuesday and now have date for chemo treatment! Anxiety levels up and mood drop! How are you doing now?
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
