Hi there! I was diagnosed with breast cancer Her2 Positive in February. It’s taken so long for the treatment to start as there had to be loads of scans before and a three weeks wait for chemo.
I’ll be having my first cycle of EC tomorrow and one part of me is so happy that hopefully the big tumor is going to shrink but I am also really scared that my whole life is going to be up side down and miserable… would love to hear about your journeys…
Hi Belfie, sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I was triple positive. If you click on my name you can read my journey so far.
I had surgery first and am having my last chemo cycle next week.
As I’m HER2 positive too I have a year of Phesgo injections that will continue every 3 weeks when I finish chemo.
Wishing you all the best for your journey.
Hugs from cuffcake x x x x x

Hi belfie welcome to the forum I was in the same position as you last July with her2 positive it's a scary place to be I know but there is a plan that needs to be put in place and like me I had the scans then 3 wks I had chemo best way to tackle chemo is to keep a diary so you can look back and check how you felt on each day and take your anti sick meds don't wait till you feel nausea try and get in a routine it's really important and rest don't try to over do things I've now had surgery and awaiting radiotherapy I wish you well we are all here to support you big hugs and stay strong xx
Thank you for your support and tips. First cycle of chemo got done. I’ve not been too bad. The fatigue is there and the lightheadedness and some depression. But not been awful. I just hope that it does work and shrinks the tumor. I hope we all fully get recovered and cured from it. Xxx
Hello,
I am her2 positive and estrogen positive. Like you I started with EC chemotherapy (4 cycles) and then 12 cycles of paclitaxel. I finished chemotherapy 5 weeks ago and at a recent scan in preparation for my surgery tomorrow it was shown that the tumour had shrank from 12cm to 1cm. So when the chemotherapy feels really tough just remember how much of an affect it is having on your tumour to get you through. Best of luck with everything
Wow Lucy!! Im so happy for you! You don’t know how much your comment made me feel positive because that is exactly my plan of treatment and I am dreading the 12 cycles. It’s great to hear how effective it has been! Hope you recover soon and back to your 100% xxx
