Hi, I met with the oncologist to discuss my radiotherapy plan a month after surgery and my radiotherapy started three weeks after that. I had two weeks radiotherapy crystals finished 17th February.
Hi, welcome to the forum. My radiotherapy was about 2 months after surgery. They need to wait for any post surgery swelling to do down so that they know they,¡re zapping the right place. Good luck
Hi there,
I am glad you asked this question. I also have TNBC grade 3. I have had three cycles of EC and due to start 9 weeks of paclitaxel and carboplatin on April 25th, then surgery, (as long as genetics show lumpectomy ok and invasive surgery not needed), then radiotherapy if have lumpectomy. I was hoping perhaps to be able to go and see my son who lives in China in November/December time. Im now thinking sadly it’s probably over optimistic. I was meant to be meeting him in Thailand this April - damn cancer!
Let’s hope for a smooth journey as possible.

Yeah go for it - definitely good to have things to look forward to - I’m really hoping I can get to China end of November or early December - just conscious one of my EC treatments was delayed a week because my bloods were out - and wondering if the same might happen when I move on to the weekly paclitaxel/carboplatin pregame. Those damn delays just set everything back don’t they? Then also no idea how much radiotherapy will have - have asked but they say they don’t know either as depends on where things are at.
I am going to Devon on Saturday as long as I’m well enough for a couple of weeks before the weekly trial starts!
Carrot treats all the way to get through this!
Where you heading off to in November? I’m sensing sun and warmth??

Booked to go to Gran Canaria. I’m the same worrying chemo could be delayed. I asked how much radiotherapy I would be having and was told “the standard amount” whatever that is?
I did the same went away for the weekend before I started the paclitaxel/carboplatin weekly treatments.
Carrot treats?
I hope you do get to China.
