This may seem a silly, frivolous question but I am trying to do everything I need to do before chemotherapy starts within the next 2 weeks. Got the dentist on board and booked, transport sorted etc, Has anyone had their eyebrows microbladed as a pre-emptive action? Any tips on other preparation please?
Hi,
I’m sorry I can’t advise, however having completed Chemo I lost my eyebrows about 3/4 through treatment and wish I had been advised ( or paid attention to these threads) about eyebrows before I started. I cold capped so kept some hair, but losing my eyebrows was as difficult as dealing with my hair. I did the lookgoodfeelbetter workshop and used “wonderbrow” for brows and Eyelure stick on lashes with eyeliner which helped but wish I had addressed my brows prior to treatment.
I must add, I’m a year ago today since my first Chemo, I had PCR and although still in “rehab” but I am feeling as normal as possible since diagnosis. It’s a rollercoaster but you are more resilient than you’ll ever know. You will get through this and a positive attitude is a huge part of this journey xxx
good luck xxx
Hi BexFelin, I took can’t advise on micro blading eyebrows. I did loose mine too but have just used eyebrow pencils and drawn them on. I learnt to do that with the look good feel better course. It’s an amazing course and you get a wonderful goodie bag with lots of make up. I also bought eyebrow tattoos (like you get for kids) these work well and do last but they are quite big so may need to be cut down just a little.
Mine have started to grown back now but I won’t be plucking them just yet until I have finished my chemo and risk of infection had subsided.
Hopefully someone will be along shortly who can advise about micro blading.
Wishing you all the best on your journey.

Hi, I got micro bladed a few years ago, so glad I did as I was diagnosed in Jan & have started chemo (1 down, 5 to go!)
my eyebrows have started going already after 12 days but you can’t really tell & I use eyeshadow to gently fill in the gaps
you do scab over a bit after micro blading so wondering about the risk of infection, as that could delay your treatment- I would speak with the Oncology Team & a very good beautician for advise but personally I feel lucky I did it
Ive also got magnetic eyelashes ready & a wig but the cold cap has kept my head hair in place so far, early days I know as I’m on FEC
good luck on your journey, it’s crap but we are all on the bus so lets hope for a safe ride xxxx
