Hi,

I am posting this on behalf my mum.

She is 55 & has just been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, although the lump has been removed and she is awaiting chemo the stats online for this particular cancer returning seems higher than some of the other breast cancers which is terrifying her.

Is there anyone else out there with triple negative breast cancer?

Or anyone who has recovered and surpassed the 5 years?

Hope to hear from you soon.

  • Lovely to hear from you.  I’m glad you’ve decided to go for another op to get clear margins, much better in the long run for you.  I know it’s all been a nightmare for you especially with the seroma issue.  hopefully that’s  now sorted itself out?

There are so many decisions to be made it’s hard to know what’s best to do.  Your healthy holistic option certainly sounds interesting.  It will be good to have it to focus on, it’s bound to make you feel better and help regain some control.  I keep promising myself that I’ll do a bit more diet and exercise wise but that’s not happened so far.  It’ll be interesting to see what your consultant says.  For me quality of life is definitely the way to go especially as we get older.

I’ll get my treatment plan next Friday,  I’ll definitely do rads, possibly hormone therapy, chemotherapy isn’t even on my radar.  I can’t visualise myself doing it and in my mind that means I won’t!  I’m a very stubborn Taurean.

Not tried palm sugar, sounds delicious, don’t you be getting on a sugar high!

  • hya

wow im a very stubborn and assertive Taurus woman aswell

     wats ur dob.

  • just cleaned out my veg drawer and put all my organic foods in . im crying I had to give all my chocs biscuits ice cream all away anything with refined sugar coz thats a food the cancer loves . so thats y I was advised purchase the palm sugar. .

sadly my C won't respond to hormone coz it triple neg.

  • Hy Ochno,

well another change in place , as I feel better than I’ve felt for weeks , I’ve decided to go for the healthy eating and supplement program , the practitioner has gave me a 2 months course for a reduced price plus all the support that I need for the duration which includes zoom meetings with her. Let’s see where this journey takes me GOD WILLING.

wish I cud send you the lovely food pics that I am currently needing to eat plus lots of fresh fruits that I eat for breakfast and after evening meal .

But if I’m gonna be serious I’ve had to rid all the bad foods for me from the fridge and replace with pure organic , supplement list will come to my email later.......saying that would you like to correspond via email coz you and another poster are all I communicate with .

bye for now ....not so Anxious Maryoma.

  • I’m so glad you’re feeling less anxious. You’re obviously feeling less sore and much more in control now.  I bet your diet is now super healthy, probably a good version of the Mediterranean diet minus wine!  You’ll have to change your profile name ha ha.

it would be lovely to email though not sure if it’s too sensible to put our emails on here??

  • Hi both,

I've not posted much on here as I'm not that techie and have been up and down with my chemo, 10 weeks through my 1st 12 weeks. I've read some posts, not all, but see, Maryoma, you are going the diet route. Well done you and glad you're feeling good. Having some control is a positive thing. I'm coping OK, ish, with my chemo, but some days it's tough.

I'm determined to do an anti cancer diet when I finish treatment so interested in how you get on?

All the best to you both x

  • do u have wats app in Spain????

  • awww yes my journey is complicated but hopefully I'll get there . I know its a long road to travel . post wen I have some news.

    thinking of u all ....maryoma.
