I found a small lump in armpit last week, and went doctors. Doctors sent a referral and had my appointment Monday gone. They found lump in my right breast and had biopsy from lump and lymph nodes. Was told the lump in my breast is cancer and now waiting for results on Wednesday morning. I am panicking cause I know it's going to be in my lymph node. I am panicking it's not spread. I did have a mammogram in January 2020 and that was clear. Anyone else who have had similar experience.
Thanks
This forum is full of women & some men who've been where you are. I had no node involvement- click on my name and you'll see my diagnosis, but what I've learnt from this forum as the nodes are Doug their job by trapping any cancer cells and spreading. It's such a shock isn't it ? I'm 7 years down the line but still remember the sheer panic of the early days xx
Hi Nails
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Given that you had a mammogram which was clear two years your cancer has in all likelihood been caught early. I found a lump in my breast two years ago and was sent for a mammogram and ultrasound where they found a lump in my armpit. Both lumps were cancerous. Luckily it was caught early enough so after having chemo, surgery and radiotherapy I am cancer free. I had scans to make sure it hadn’t spread and and it hadn’t.
Wishing you the best of luck with your results on Wednesday.
Best wishes

Hi
I had biopsy and it had spread to nodes. Had surgery mastectomy and all lymph nodes removed. Was told that 10 out of 15 infected. Now waiting for chemo appointment. If spread to nodes they usually do CT scan to see if it’s spread further.
Hi Nails
Sorry I haven't replied to you sooner. No need to apologise for asking the question I'm only too happy to help. I started with chemo six weeks after I was diagnosed. I finished chemo in February 2021 and then had about a five week wait for surgery as they wanted to make sure I was over the chemo before they operated. I then had radiotherapy for three week which started about five weeks after my surgery. I had the body scan four days after I was diagnosed. I just had the lump in my breast removed as the chemo did it's job on the lump under my arm and reduced my breast lump by 13mm from 16mm down to 3 mm. However I did need a further course of chemo as there was a small bit of cancer left in one to the lymph nodes my surgeon took. That was in tablet form and lasted for 6 months so all in all my treatment took a year to complete.
All the best for tomorrow.

Hi Tracy
How did the surgery go, and how are you feeling now. Have they said how the chemotherapy with effect you. Loosing your hair, making you sick .
Did they offer to take the lump or did they say a mastectomy strait away. Have they offered reconstruction.
Is there any questions I need to ask tomorrow. I have written a few down.
Thanks yvonne xxxx
Hi Yvonne
They told me because of lymph nodes affected they did mastectomy and all lymph node removal. They offer reconstruction but I’m going to wait until treatment finished.
Mastectomy was fine and I recovered really quickly. Chemo will be hard, I know but am ready to move to next stage. Waiting for appointment should be in next two weeks.
Good luck for tomorrow x
Hi Yvonne
How did you get on? Had first chemo yesterday having 4x EC and 4x D. Feel okay do far. Took around 4 hours As I am trying cold capping. Just gonna take all meds prescribed to try and beat the nausea. Good sign meds for 5 days only so am hoping to recover quickly. Take care.
