Hi I am Jennie, just had an op to remove stage 2 invasive lobular cancer and primary nodes having been diagnosed on 3rd March 2022. It's exactly 25 years ago (to the month) that I was previously diagnosed with stage 4 malignant melanoma in the Lymph under my left arm and I was told if it had spread I had 6 months... and I am still here after 2 huge operations to remove my cancer and having had a FULL axillary clearance (all Lymph nodes down the left side). 2 years of injections of Roferon-A through my stomach helped to getting my "all clear" after 5 years and outpatient discharge from Weston Park Hospital after 10 years at age 35.
Now, 25 years after the above "hell"... I have this... little b*gger! Had my op 2 days ago and feel like I've gone 10 rounds with the Gypsy King but resting at home now. Results due 4th May. I am HER2 negative but been told I may still need further surgery and chemo (depends on results) and definitely need radiotherapy and 5 years of suppressant drugs (possibly tamoxifen). The waiting is the worst part... roll on 4th May... and here I go again!!!!
Would love to chat with anyone... keeping positive and hope you all are too... xxx
The waiting really is the worst! Looks like you’ll be getting your results around the same time as I go in for mastectomy. Must be such a massive blow after going through this already!! Sending lots of love your way.
