I was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2019 lump removed, Chemotherapy, Herceptin for a year, Radiotherapy, lymph nodes clear.

Noticed lump in July 2021, cancer in lymph nodes so all removed under my arm. Left with lymphoedema in left arm.

Now I have just been diagnosed with breast cancer back again under my arm, new lumps. Awaiting full body scan before surgery again.

Just wondering if anyone else has been diagnosed with breast cancer three times in two half years, I'm feeling so low.

Will it ever stop, I can say I'm scared to what it's going to lead to.

Disappointed relieved

  • Not quite, but I did twice in two years. Now been in remission for 3 years.

Try to stay positive. I know it's not easy, I was devastated the second time but step by step I got through it.

Similar to Haysie I was diagnosed 2 times in 2 yrs. May 2019 i had a lumpectomy followed by 12 rounds of chemo and then radiotherapy and herceptin for 1 yr.

But in October 2021 I was diagnosed again same side but this time had a mastectomy followed by 4x EC and another 12x d-taxel and another 1yr of herceptin. Finally finished everything February of this year.  It is hard because so many thoughts and doubts creep into your head and because its reoccured you then find yourself dealing with anxiety amongst everything else.  But honestly the key is to stay positive and really believe that you will get through it.  Take each day at a time and just concentrate on getting through that phase (ie surgery or chemo etc). Your doctors will take care of you medically but you need to take care of your mental health and thoughts. You can do this so stay strong.

Thank you for your support. I will really try and stay strong but I have to be honest the minute they start talking about Chemo my head goes down. Operations etc no worries but Chemo omg I really struggled with that.

I will take one day at a time.

Take care too and I hope you have a cancer free future. Heart
